Paul Stoltman has always known what he likes when he goes out - high quality service, an interesting atmosphere, and excellent food. For the last ten years Paul's "Neighborhood Pub & Grill" in Sturgeon Bay has provided all three to Door County regulars and visitors alike. Prior to owning the restaurant, Stoltman worked as a salesman for more than 20 years, when he decided it was time for a change. He and his wife, Joan, had been married in Door County in 1988 and had been longtime tourists. Their opportunity came when an historic tavern located at the corner of Egg Harbor Road and 14th Avenue in Sturgeon Bay came up for sale. Paul and Joan bought it and grew it into the casual eatery known today as "The Pub".
The Pub's atmosphere is casual and friendly, yet provides a high level of service. Whether it's your first time here - or your thousandth - we do our best to make you feel welcome and appreciated. Paul's usually in the house and frequently greets his guests personally.
The Pub's menu features dozens of items - all of which are available for dine in or take out. Starting with appetizers (from cheese curds to our generous nacho supreme), and running through the soups, salads, snacks and entrees - the menu is wide and varied. There is a great selection of burgers, chicken and specialty sandwiches ($6 to $9). Our number one seller is the open-faced prime rib sandwich, followed by the Reuben and our own Pub Club. Dinner selections at the Pub include broasted chicken, steaks, prime rib, fish dishes and homemade pizzas ($5 to $20). A children's menu is also available.
We feature four soups every day - chili, chicken dumpling, and two others made from scratch every morning. Our menu ranges from grilled cheese sandwiches to prime rib dinners. It's all inclusive. And don't forget desserts, which range from cheesecake and Snickers pie to The Pub's signature items: deep fried ice cream (a scoop of New York vanilla ice cream rolled in cornflake crumbs, deep fried for three seconds, and served on a tortilla with cinnamon, honey and whipped cream) and Door County Cherry Cobbler - delicious.
Our Catering business has been our biggest growth area in the last five years as people hear about us and our ability to make their event fun, flavorful, and worry-free.
